The Bloom Room was created from a deep love of making art and female friendships.

It’s about connection. Building community, making friends, and creating something meaningful.

Creating has always been something that grounds me. I wanted to share that feeling with others and create a space where women can come together, make something with their hands, and simply enjoy being around each other.

The Bloom Room is a gathering where women come together to create, talk, and laugh. It’s relaxed, a little messy, and rooted in the belief that creativity is healing, worth making space for, and a way to reconnect with yourself.

❋ How It Unfolds

Each gathering is small and intentional, usually 6 to 12 people, centered around an easy, creative project. Most often, we work with collage, mood boards, or small handmade pieces you can keep, gift, or bring into your space.

❋ Where We Gather

The Bloom Room moves with the seasons and the feeling of what we’re creating. Some gatherings unfold outside in the summer light, while others settle into quiet, welcoming creative spaces.

All events take place in the West Des Moines area.

❋ The Atmosphere

Events are relaxed, about two hours long, and always include a small snack and drinks. You’ll leave with something you made, but more importantly, with the feeling of having spent time creating, connecting, and doing something just for yourself.

❋ Come As You Are

There’s no pressure to be “good” at art. It’s about the experience, the conversation, and the process of creating.

The Bloom Room can also be shared in a more personal setting, whether it’s a birthday, a girls night, or a small group wanting to create together. Each gathering is shaped to fit the moment, while still holding the same relaxed, creative energy.

The goal is to see yourself through a new lens, to recognize the good and the beauty within, and to have a tangible reminder that you are so special.
